That's how we work. Studio Flux is a small Melbourne lighting practice bringing bold, art-driven ideas to residential, hospitality and small commercial projects. What sets us apart isn't just the concepts we create — it's how we bring people along for the ride. We take complex design thinking and translate it into something anyone can understand, get excited about, and feel genuinely part of.

We design for people, not portfolios. That shapes everything — from the way we run a client consultation, the way we collaborate with builders, sparkies and interior designers, to the way we show up on site. We care about the people we work with as much as the people we design for, and we think that's rare in this industry.

Across residential lighting projects we manage everything from initial brief and mood boarding through to specification and client sign-off. Our experience adds a strong layer of project management, high-stakes communication and the ability to stay calm and clear when things get complicated — while a love of the unexpected keeps us pushing for designs that feel one-of-one. We aim for unique and authentic, like forever tinkering scientists perfecting their craft in bold and enthusiastic ways.
